Olly Murs defends pulling out of Olympic parade to watch football!
Olly Murs has found himself in a bit of hot water this week as he's managed to annoy the city of Manchester!
The cheeky chappy was meant to be performing at the Olympic & Paralympic parade on Monday but had to pull out at the last minute.
The Kaiser Chiefs had to fill in for Olly who later was seen supporting his beloved Manchester United in their game at Liverpool on the same night!
Of course, this was a bit of an inconvenience for the organisers and Manchester Councillor Pat Karney spoke out against the singer. Pat tweeted "Lets just say we won't be asking him to switch on our Christmas lights .Not impressed.pk"
This was too much for Olly, who hit back on Twitter!
Can I just clarify that I was always going to watch football on Monday night and perform at the Olympic gig in Manchester too..— Olly Murs (@ollyofficial) October 19, 2016
But my management decided the day before to pull me from the gig as they were changing my performance from what was agreed.— Olly Murs (@ollyofficial) October 19, 2016
This decision had nothing to do with the football. So if Manchesters counsellor wants to call me, DM me sir and let's have a chat!!— Olly Murs (@ollyofficial) October 19, 2016
You tell 'em Olly!
