Two adults and three children (4-15 years) admitted to Crich Tramway Village for one day’s admission (date exclusions apply, please see Terms and Conditions for details)
Crich Tramway Village is one of Derbyshire's most unique family days out. Vintage trams run along a period street, climbing a mile of track which provides breathtaking views of the surrounding Derbyshire countryside.
Experience the fascinating Woodland Walk & Sculpture Trail which winds its way back to the village or remain on the tram and be dropped off outside The Red Lion Pub and Tearooms before visiting the fascinating Exhibitions and Workshop Viewing Gallery. There are also picnic areas and indoor and outdoor play areas to keep the children entertained.
We also have an exciting exhibition in the Exhibition Hall called ‘Michael Holroyd Smith – Electrifying the Future’ about this pioneering inventor of the late 19th and early 20th century, who changed the course of tramway history in the UK and had far reaching influence in the engineering world.
A temporary exhibition The Mobile Post Box – Mail by Tram reveals how, in the early 20th Century tramcars became mobile post boxes carrying and delivering letters and parcels. It explores some of the challenges that had to be overcome in order to provide this service. It is located next to the ‘Survive and Thrive the Electric Era’ exhibition in the Derby Assembly Rooms.
There’s a variety of special events, which operate throughout the season. See the website for details.
