Don’t miss the massive Chesterfield Borough Council’s Christmas lights switch-on with Peak FM!
Peak FM’s Ricky and Becky from the Breakfast Show will be joined on stage by Richie Pearson from the Home Run PLUS some very special guests to switch on Chesterfield’s Christmas lights at Chesterfield Borough Council’s Christmas lights switch-on event.
It all happens SUNDAY 17th NOVEMBER in New Square, Chesterfield

The fun gets underway at 12 noon with the market place packed with amazing stalls, games and fairground rides!
Families have the opportunity to see Peter Rabbit in Rykneld Square (outside Chesterfield Visitor Information Centre) at 12noon – 12.30pm, 1pm – 1.30pm, 2pm – 2.30pm and 3pm – 3.30pm.
Peak FM’s presenters take to the stage and start the festive music at 3:30pm
It’s a show not to be missed, full of festive fun. On stage will be:
- Peter Rabbit
- Stars from Jack & The Beanstalk as they get ready for this year’s Pomegranate panto
- Chesterfield choir Local Vocals to get us in the Christmas mood!
- The mayor and mayoress of Chesterfield
- Ricky, Becky and Richie Pearson from Peak FM
- And... a very special guest in red and white! There’ll be prizes to be won too!

Visit Father Christmas in his magical grotto at the Market Hall. Each visit costs £5 per child and will include a present from Santa. No need to book, just turn up on the day.

Join us for a magical pantomime for all the family
From the 6th December until the 5th January, Jack and the Beanstalk Pantomime will be at the Pomegranate Theatre in Chesterfield!
Lee Latchford-Evans from pop super-group Steps will headline in the title role. Star of Cbeebies & Waffle the Wonder Dog Andrea Valls will be taking the role of Princess Jess. The cast also includes comedian Paul Eastwood as Simon Trott, Simon Howe as Dame Trott and Janine Pardo as Spirit of the Beans.
With nothing but a handful of (magic!) beans, Jack must find the courage to slay the evil giant in his quest to win the hand of the beautiful Princess and to free his village of tyranny forever.
