Chesterfield to unite for minute’s silence after London attack

It's going to take place at 11am on the steps of the town hall.

Chesterfield residents are invited to join in a minute’s silence in memory of those who lost their life in last week’s terrorist attack in London.

People are invited to join staff and councillors to take part in a one-minute silence on the steps of the Town Hall, Rose Hill at 11am today, Monday 2 December.

Huw Bowen, chief executive for Chesterfield Borough Council, said: “It is massively important that we let any organisation and individuals associated with such horrific actions understand that Chesterfield, like the rest of the United Kingdom will not be intimidated by this sort of attack.

“We express our deepest sympathies to those who lost their lives or were injured, and to their families and friends.”
