Nigel Smith has opted to leave North Derbyshire for Wiltshire.
Football administration manager Nigel Smith has left the club to take up a new role as club secretary at Swindon Town, who are newly promoted to League One.
Smith has been with Chesterfield since March 2018 after leaving Derbyshire FA to join the club.
Club secretary Ashley Carson said: "We are really disappointed to be losing someone like Nigel. With his kind of expertise, he has been a great asset to the club and we send him our very best wishes and wish him every success in his new role."
Smith said: "It is with a heavy heart that I leave the club I have supported all my life. I have loved the time I have served my club and I am still a mad Spireite.
"With the club's continued uncertainty, I applied for the job with Swindon Town. I am delighted to be appointed and this is a great opportunity for me."
