Former Spireites loanee dies aged 40

Former Chesterfield footballer Junior Agogo has passed away at the age of 40

Agogo  had a spell on loan with the Spireites from Sheffield Wednesday in 1999, before going on to play for Nottingham Forest and Bristol Rovers.

He also played 27 times for the Ghana national team, scoring 12 goals. 

His playing career finished in 2012, and it was revealed back in 2015 Agogo had suffered a stroke. 

A statement on Chesterfield F.C's website say says their thoughts are with Junior's family and friends
