Chesterfield are looking for their 3rd home win in a row when they take on Eastleigh at the Proact Stadium tomorrow.
A win could lift the Spireites out of the relegation zone, if results elsewhere also go their way.
But Chesterfield manager John Sheridan has warned his players there is still a long way to go before he can be satisfied with their performance this season: "I'm talking when we've won eight, nine, ten games. That's when we'll have turned the corner, when we get back in the mix.
"So at this moment in time we're not in a good enough position for what we've got in the squad and what we are. It's nowhere near good enough.
"We know we've got to get on a run of winning games. Not drawing, just winning games no matter how we play. I want us to be good on the eye but if we have to win like we did last week, so be it. We've just got to get over the line sometimes and get the points which are the most important thing."
Meanwhile, striker Tom Denton hopes the Spireites can continue to pick up points and push up the table: "We can because we did it last season. We must have won 10 out of our last 15 league games so if you do that, you're going to be in the top six so we've just got to keep winning as many home games as we can and then picking up as many points as we can away."
Denton also spoke on his strike partnership with Scott Boden, which has proven useful for the Spireites since Boden returned to Chesterfield last January.
Denton said: "He works off me well and maybe a little bit of luck as well. You need that in a partnership, just to get some breaks and I've assisted him with a few goals and obviously he started off the season well. And I've obviously come back in with him now and we've hit a bit of form so hopefully we can carry on."
