John Sheridan Pre Barrow

The Spireites boss discusses the Bank Holiday fixtures, starting with Saturdays visit of Barrow.

Chesterfield are again in search of their first win of the new season.

The Spireites are currently third from bottom, in the relegation zone, after a poor start which has lead to just three points from five games.

14th place Barrow are the visitors to the Proact, managed by former fan favorite Ian Evatt.

Speaking to Peak FM, manager John Sheridan says he will enter the game in a positive mood;

"I know we should have more points, we should have a win but we haven't, so we go into the game, pushing and hoping to get the first win for the supporters.

"Because we haven't won in five, you get a bit edgy. You'd think you'd have your first win.

"You've just got to keep going. We aren't far from that result.

"You've got to stay focused and be doing the right things at the most important time".
