Two Spireite legends have spoken to Peak FM of their memories playing in the final match at Saltergate 10 years ago.
Chesterfield played at Saltergate for nearly 140 years, between 1871-2010 before moving to the Proact Stadium.
On the final game, 8th May 2010, Chesterfield came from 1-0 behind to beat Bournemouth, with an 80th minute Jack Lester goal, followed by a 96th minute winner by Derek Niven which sparked jubilant scenes and a massive pitch invasion.
Drew Talbot spoke to Peak FM about his memories playing at the old Recreation ground,and of the atmosphere on the final game:
Goalkeeper Tommy Lee also spent the earlier part of his Chesterfield career playing there, but his earliest memories came when he was playing for Macclesfield Town:
Chesterfield F.C are marking the anniversary by streaming the full match against Bournemouth, along with a documentary featuring a number of former players on the club's YouTube channel.
