Chesterfield boss John Sheridan says he's looking to bring in three new faces before this weekend's game at home to Brackley Town
Yesterday striker Scott Boden re-joined the Spireites following a five-and-a-half year spell away from the club.
And Sheridan told us he wants to strengthen further: " The chairman has been brilliant, he's given me that leeway to go and get players if I feel as though they're the right players to strengthen us and I've done that so hopefully we'll have three players in before the weekend.
"I want people fighting for places whoever it may be. If you're not in the team I want you fighting to try and get in the team."
Meanwhile, new signing Scott Boden has told us he's 'delighted' to be back at the Proact Stadium.
He said: "I don't think I can say enough how happy and delighted I am. As soon as I got a sniff of the interest and I knew there was the potential to come back here I always wanted to.
And Boden believes he's the man to add much needed goals to the Spireites' frontline: "On one hand I wouldn't have come here if I didn't have the ambition to do that anyway.
"That is in the forefront of my mind but if I don't score goals and we're winning games, as long as we're winning games then I'm really happy and more than anything it's all about points and getting the wins on the board."
