Spireites earn all three points at Barnet

They won 2-0 in north London.

Chesterfield took a huge step towards securing their National League status for another season last night.

The Spireites won 2-0 at Barnet-A result which lifts them up to 17th in the table.

Goals from Charlie Carter and Alex Kiwomya settled matters at The Hive.

Manager John Sheridan told Spireites Digital they deserved the win;

"It was a magnificent clean sheet. We knew it was a big game. We've come to a difficult place, they're a good footballing side, but I'm proud of the players and how they went about matters."

"We're doing the right things to keep ourselves in the league, because we're winning games. However, if I'm looking at next season, which deep down I am, we've got to be better if we're going to compete at the top end of the division."
