Chesterfield have re-signed striker Scott Boden from Vanarama National League rivals Gateshead for an undisclosed fee.
Boden, who began his career with Chesterfield, returns to the Proact after a five-and-a-half-year absence. He has signed an 18-month contract and the club has an option to extend the deal.
The 29-year-old is delighted to have returned to the club. He said: “I’m buzzing to have got the deal sorted and I just can’t wait to get going now. I got my first pro deal here and it’s effectively my team.”
Since leaving the Spireites, Boden has played for the likes of Macclesfield Town, FC Halifax Town and Newport County. He joined Gateshead last summer after leaving Wrexham and has scored 12 goals this season.
In his previous spell with Chesterfield, Boden made 103 appearances, scoring 15 goals.
