Police have now re-opened the A38 between Alfreton and the M1 after a collision involving three vehicles.
The incident, involving two cars and a lorry, happened on the northbound stretch as it passes Clover Nook Industrial Estate.
Police, firefighters and ambulance crews attended the scene.

Officers announced just after 12:30 that the road had re-opened.
It added to what has been a hectic day on Derbyshire's roads, due to a crash on the M1 Northbound at 4am between junctions 28 and 29.
