Barlborough man arrested in connection to Sheffield murder inquiry

The victim was killed just over three months ago.

A third arrest has been made in connection with the death of Jordan Marples-Douglas in Sheffield.

A 22 year-old man was arrested yesterday morning (25 June) in Derbyshire on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. He is the third arrest in connection to the murder.

Police were called to a property on Woodthorpe Road on Friday 6 March after reports that Mr Marples-Douglas, 23, had been found with multiple stab wounds. He sadly died at the scene a short time later.

Earlier this year (12 March) Ben Jones, 25, of no fixed abode was charged with the murder of Mr Marples-Douglas. He is currently remanded in prison awaiting trial at Sheffield Crown Court.

A 21-year old Sheffield woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender is currently on police bail.
