Derbyshire Police have confirmed that the body of a man has been found at Ladybower Reservoir in the Peak District National Park.
Officers from Derbyshire, along with Mountain Rescue, had been helping South Yorkshire Police search the area for missing Rotherham man Andrew Downing after he was reported missing back on the 28th June.
41-year old Mr Downing, who lived in Roseberry Street in Rotherham, was last seen at around 10pm on that day.
Earlier on Saturday afternoon (9th July) underwater search teams found the body of a man which Police say they believe is that of Mr Downing in Ladybower Fisheries, Bamford.
The discovery comes after his car was found at Ladybower Fisheries on Wednesday 6th July.
Formal identification of the body is still to take place but officers believe the body is that of 41-year old Andrew Downing.
