One of Chesterfield's most iconic buildings will go under the hammer this morning in an online auction.
The bidding is due to start at 10am and will close at 4pm.
The start price for the property has been set at £800,000, however the seller, Prestige hotels Ltd are reportedly not prepared to sell at a figure lower than £1.25 million.
The company bought the site for £900,000 and says it has spent more than £300,000 refurbishing it.
The hotel closed back in 2015, after being in business for almost 150 years.
It had been previously reported that Chesterfield Borough Council were planning to demolish the building in order to pave the way for HS2 plans.
