Derbyshire County Council\'s Trading Standards team have issued the warning about 75cl bottles of \"Drop Vodka.\"
They have been found to contain Propan-2-ol which causes skin irritation, breathing problems and rashes.
Sales have spread across the U.K to places as close as Leeds and Wakefield and council bosses fear it won't be long before they appear in the Chesterfield area.
The bottles also contain just 26.8% alcohol when the legal level for a product to be called vodka is 37.5% ABV.
Shopkeepers found to be selling illegal alcohol face serious penalties including the loss of their licence so consumers and businesses alike are encouraged to contact DCC Trading Standards on 01629 536 166 if they come into contact with the products.
