Chesterfield's Pensions Rally

Chesterfield people took to the streets to protest against the changes to public sector pensions.

Locals have been having their say on the national strikes.

More than 1,000 gathered in Rykneld Square from a number of unions in both the public and private sector to protest against the measures being brought in by the government.

Schools have been shut throughout the county with more than 100,000 children having an unscheduled day off from studies.

The march made its way from the Tourist Infomation Centre beneath the spire through the market place to the Chesterfield Club on Chester Street.
