Council offer support to Derbyshire residents making positive changes in 2019

'Live Life Better' will be available for free.

January is a time for making resolutions, whether it’s to get healthier, wealthier or just happier. But how many of us stick to them?

In 2019 why not make a decision to change your life for the better with FREE support from Derbyshire County Council.

Live Life Better Derbyshire is a healthy lifestyles service that offers advice and help on a wide range of health and wellbeing topics.

This covers the following:

• stop smoking

• weight management

• getting active

• mental health and wellbeing

• falls prevention

• alcohol awareness

• housing and financial help

Live Life Better Derbyshire also works closely with local businesses to improve the health and wellbeing of Derbyshire workforces.

Derbyshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Health and Communities, Councillor Carol Hart said: “January’s the traditional time to make resolutions but, in reality, it can be difficult to stick to them.

“Live Life Better Derbyshire can help you to get healthier, deal with financial issues and improve your overall wellbeing.

“It’s free, local and supportive. So why not pick up the phone and give the team a call?
