Procedures within the force are now being assessed.
Derbyshire Police say they're 'reviewing their procedures', after receiving complaints about their drink driving campaign.
In the first week of the initiative, the force named those who'd been charged with the allegation of driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.
However, following an objection, the communications team there decided not to continue publishing the details of people charged with the offence.
In a statement, Deputy Chief Constable Gary Knighton said: “The Christmas Drink Drive campaign was launched on December 1, 2018 in Derbyshire.
“In the first week of the campaign the names of five individuals who had been charged with an allegation of driving whilst under the influence of alcohol in the county were released.
“Following a complaint and discussion with our communications team, a decision was made not to continue to name individuals charged with this offence in this manner. We are looking into the complaint and reviewing our procedures”.
