Peter Baranek's been speaking to Peak FM over his fears that coronavirus cases could flare up again if tourists return to the village in large numbers.
The Director of the Matlock Bath Development Association is urging tourists in Derbyshire to continue avoiding the village.
It's as lock down restrictions are due to ease from tomorrow.
However, Peter Baranek doesn't think it's a good idea for people to travel to the tourism hot-spot just yet;
"The whole of the front of Matlock Bath doesn't lend itself to social distancing.
"Some of the pavements are quite narrow, it will become very difficult if a lot of visitors start coming.
"The problem is accommodating a high number of visitors in such a small space.
"From Wednesday, when people can travel, we'll be asking people not to come to Matlock Bath because we aren't open at the moment.
"We don't want people rushing back here."
A couple of bikers were caught flouting the rules prior to the Prime Minister's latest address last weekend;
Matlock Bath. Dad and son out for a leisure ride with dodgy reg plate, exhausts, no L plate for son. Dad initially refused details, anti-police - told he'd be arrested, not fussed. Told his bike would be seized - finally talks. Tickets for the pair of them. #ConstructionAndUse pic.twitter.com/6W8RGInP3E— Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit (@DerbyshireRPU) May 9, 2020
