Here's a roundup of what the force have come across this week in our patch so far;
Chesterfield. Didn't stop when given hand signal after being caught speeding. If he'd stopped - a speed awareness course or £100 fine and 3 points. Instead - marker placed on car, boxed in by us, found in possession of drugs and lots of cash. Two males arrested. Silly. #Fatal4 pic.twitter.com/NgQDVauPpy— Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit (@DerbyshireRPU) May 13, 2020
More speed checks. Chisworth in the #HighPeak and Ashgate in #Chesterfield. 30mph limits and the top speed recorded in both was 49mph. We are highly visible so those caught should consider if they are paying attention. Local residents love it and came out to say thanks. #Fatal4 pic.twitter.com/l2gYzJ883A— Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit (@DerbyshireRPU) May 13, 2020
How has everybody found the traffic today? Anecdotally we've found it much busier today, nearing normal levels.— Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit (@DerbyshireRPU) May 13, 2020
As such we are continuing our speed checks in areas identified by locals as concerns to them.
Killamarsh 4 tickets and Littleover 2 tickets in an hour. #Fatal4 pic.twitter.com/Ewm17gj5pV
