First Ever Community Free Library Opens in Chesterfield

Hady Primary School has opened its 'Little Free Libraries'

A Primary School in Derbyshire has opened the UKs first community pop up library.

Hady Primary in Chesterfield have placed large wooden boxes full of free books around the community to encourage people to read.

Headteacher Susan Chapman completed a Skydive to raise the money, and MP Toby Perkins has praised the initiative;

"Mrs Chapman was inspired on a trip to America, and took the extreme step of jumping out of a plane!

"Children are encouraged to leave a book, take a book, it's an informal service".
