Funding cuts to Chesterfield College addressed in Parliament

The town's MP questioned Theresa May on the matter in Prime Minister's Questions.

Funding cuts to Chesterfield college have been flagged up in parliament by Chesterfield's MP.

During prime minister's questions-Toby Perkins flagged up a 30 percent reduction in real terms funding-over the last decade.

He stated;  "Further education funding is in crisis; why is the education of young people, who go to further education college's, worth so little to this Government?"

Theresa May wasn't in agreement with Mr Perkins, as she replied "It is this Government, that is taking steps to ensure that young people are able to take up the opportunities which are right for them."

The debate took place yesterday in London.
