Further weather warnings for Derbyshire

The Met Office has renewed weather warnings for Derbyshire and the surrounding area just days after the county was blanketed by snow.

Last week we told you about almost 36 hours of warnings from the national weather centre as snow fell across the area. The drop in temperatures and icy conditions caused travel disruption and a number of schools closed for the day.

Now the Met Office is warning we could be in for something similar this week.

According to reports the bad weather is expected to begin at around 9am on Wednesday with Yellow weather warnings running from then until 9pm on Thursday. Temperatures could fall as low as -5 degrees with heavy snow predicted for Thursday at around 9am.

Peak FM will keep you up to date on any issues with the weather if it starts to disrupt travel across the county as well as the very latest information on school closures.
