Gig in Matlock tonight aiming to raise funds for Syrian refugees across North Derbyshire

It's happening from 7.30pm at the Edgefold Club.

Chesterfield and North Derbyshire's branch of 'Stand up to racism' are urging residents to unite against the issue tonight in Matlock.

It's as a concert's taking place at the Edgefold Club in a bid to help support Syrian refugees across the county.

James Eaden's helped put it all together-He's confident it'll prove to be a success;

"It's a great venue for us, They're very happy to have us there. We've got refugee families across locations in North Derbyshire, so Matlock's a good central location for everyone to unite."

"Four top bands are playing, it'll be a great night out, and all the funds raised will be used to support Syrian refugee families right here in our county."

The acts playing include 'Acorn 4', 'Please Y'Self', 'Left Hand Drive' and 'Take 4'.

It all gets underway from 7.30pm.
