Jury fail to reach a verdict on Chesterfield man accused of plotting a terror attack

His co-defendant, Sheffield resident Farhad Salah, has been found guilty of the same offence.

The jury in the trial concerning a Chesterfield man, who was charged with plotting terror offences back in 2017, have failed to reach a verdict.

32 year old chip-shop owner Andy Star, of Sheffield Road in Chesterfield, was arrested back in December 2017.

Star will not face a re-trial on the offence, but he'll continue to be detained on immigration matters.

Meanwhile, Farhad Salah, who's 24 and from Sheffield, has been found guilty of plotting a terror attack at Sheffield Crown Court.

He'll be sentenced on the 24th July.
