Man involved in a knife point robbery arrested in Inkersall last night

Officers managed to find the suspect in the garden of a house on Sutton Crescent.

A man involved in a knife point robbery was arrested in Chesterfield yesterday evening.

Officers attempted to stop a car in Inkersall late last night, as they believed it was being driven by a disqualified driver.

The man behind the wheel eventually pulled up on Sutton Crescent before running off.

A 46 year old man was later found in the back garden of a house and arrested.

He was detained on suspicion of affray, possessing a knife, theft, failing to stop, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.

He remains in custody.
