Man left with fractured cheekbone and eye socket following recent attack in Hasland

It took place back in January.

Detectives investigating an assault at a pub in Hasland are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

The victim was in the Devonshire Arms in Mansfield Road at around 7.15pm on Friday, 31 January when he was knocked unconscious by two men.

The 36-year-old man was found to have suffered a fractured cheekbone and eye socket – he is recovering well from him injuries.

The two suspects are described as:

1 – 6ft 2ins tall, large build and wearing blue jeans

2 – 5ft 6ins tall, small build and wearing black trousers and light coloured top

Officers would like to speak to anyone who has any information about the incident or who knows who the two men are.
