The victim's condition remains serious but stable.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for information following an attempted robbery in which a man was stabbed in the chest.
Officers were called to Fairfield Road, Buxton, just after 12.15pm yesterday (9 July) to reports that a man had been injured during an attempted robbery.
On arrival officers located a man with a stab wound to his chest. The 28-year-old, who is from Buxton, was taken to Manchester Royal Hospital for treatment to his injuries where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
A number of enquiries were carried out yesterday, with scenes in Windsor Road, Victoria Road and Fairfield Road and residents will see an increased police presence as the investigation continues.
Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident – especially any drivers with dashcam footage and homeowners with CCTV that may have captured footage that may assist with the investigation.
No arrests have been made at this time.
