Man who died after A38 crash is named

The man who died following a collision on the A38 yesterday morning has been named.

Police were called to the southbound carriageway between Hartshay and Watchorn at 6.25am today (Wednesday, July 27) after reports that a car transporter had collided with a pedestrian.

It was later released that 63 year old John Hall of Swanwick had died in the incident.

Officers closed the carriageway for a number of hours.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 84 of July 27.
