National Tramway Museum to feature in TV Documentary.

The Museum was contacted by the documentary producers earlier on in the year in regards to making a programme about the Tramway systems in the UK.

Museum Curator Glynn Wilton said ‘After countless phone calls to the Museum from TV production companies doing programmes about transport and just including a small part about trams, we finally persuaded a company that there was enough material to do a whole programme about trams. Tramways often get neglected for rail. People forget that trams were in operation for over 100 years and served many of our towns and cities’

The Golden Age of Trams which is aired on Monday 4th December features film footage from the Museum, an interview with Glynn and enthusiasts Richard and Anne Wiseman. The Museum also assisted with historical content of the programme.
