New care home in Clowne to create 50 jobs

The former Ground Works Creswell site in Clowne has been fully renovated into an 18-bedroom mental health care home, with around 50 new jobs created.

Cherry Tree House will provide nurse led care for people with mental illness, brain injury or neurological illness, creating full and part time employment positions for carers, nurses, catering, domestic and office staff.

Director Robert Lee said: “We pride ourselves on providing state-of-the-art facilities and comfortable surroundings that improve the lives of our residents by promoting active lifestyles and independence.

We believe that people with mental health illness, brain injury or neurological illness need a more specific care plan that is person centred and recognises that all people with disabilities are entitled to the same choices, rights and opportunities as the rest of the community.  People should be supported to make informed choices about their own health care and lifestyle”.
