New Coronavirus case in Bolsover and North East Derbyshire region

Derbyshire County Council has confirmed on it's Coronavirus 'Micro site' that a fifth person in the county has contracted the illness,

The council has confirmed that the latest case is the first to be diagnosed in the North East Derbyshire/ Bolsover region.

There are currently no confirmed cases in Chesterfield, Amber Valley or Derbyshire Dales.

Three cases have been confirmed in the High Peak area, with one also confirmed in Erewash. 

From tomorrow, anyone in the UK with a new cough or temperature is being asked to self-isolate for seven days as a precaution, to prevent the spread.

Medical experts say it's to protect older and vulnerable people, and delay the peak of the epidemic.

People with minor symptoms are also being told not to call 111. 

But Boris Johnson says schools AREN'T being closed - and there's no need yet to cancel big gatherings.
