Staff and volunteers at Ashgate Hospicecare are looking to break their attendance record and reach a new milestone at this years' Sparkle Nightwalk.
Entries for the 2019 event are currently open, and an 'early bird' offer runs until 22nd March where participants can enter at a cheaper rate.
Event Fundraiser Beth Cole told Peak FM the event continues to grow- and they're hoping to smash a new record this time around:
"This year we'd really like to hit that 3,000 walker mark. 2,600 is our record so to have 3,000 there on the start line this year would be absolutely phenomenal."
And Beth urged people to get involved in order to get a feel for the atmosphere of the event: "Everyone's favourite part is the atmosphere and I think it's highlighted because everyone's there in the same colour t-shirts and the flashing bunny ears, so that atmosphere is really electric and it's hard to sum up in words."
The event is open to both men and women, and raised more than £200,000 for the hospice last year. It takes place on July 6th at Chesterfield's Proact Stadium.
