Patient observations at Chesterfield Royal Hospital to go digital

Chetserfield Royal hospital is digitalising it's patient observations from this week.

200 ipads will be utilised to replace the old paper based system, in a move which bosses say will improve safety, efficiency and overall care for patients.

Dr Jon Cort, the hospital's deputy medical director said: "It means that we'll be able to flag up and easily see patients that need care more rapidly and prioritise our care in the hospital for patients so those that need extra care can get it faster.

"We're putting 200 i-pads out onto the wards for all the clinical staff to record and view observations of patients in real-time."
