Police appeal after discovery of burning cars in Grindleford

Police investigating arson in Grindleford are appealing for witnesses.

Officers investigating two arson attacks in Grindleford are appealing for witnesses.

At 2.10pm on Thursday, July 14, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service called police to tell officers that they were attending two burning cars on Sir William Hill Road in Grindleford.

Two cars, a silver coloured Ford Focus and a silver Skoda Superb, were badly damaged in the blaze, which is believed to have been started deliberately. 

The area is a popular spot with walkers, so investigating officers are keen to speak to anyone that may have been in the area at the time to contact them with any information.
