Police 'aware' of reports about a kitten being thrown from a car on A61 in Chesterfield

Police in Derbyshire say they're aware of reports on social media about an allegation that a kitten was thrown from a car in Chesterfield 

The incident allegedly happened on the A61 at Whittington Moor on August 27.

The force say their Inquiries into the report are ongoing and are asking people to call them on 101 if they have any information.

A Derbyshire constabulary spokesperson said: "We would ask people not to share unconfirmed registration plates or types of vehicles allegedly involved as this could place people at risk. Instead contact us on 101 if you wish to pass on information to our officers and quote incident 561 of August 28.

“Inquiries into the report are ongoing.”
