The Hasland and St. Leonards Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team is holding a Safer Together Street Meet on Saturday, June 15 at Eastwood Park.
People living in the Hasland area are being given the chance to meet their local police, raise any concerns they may have and find out more about the Safer Together campaign.
It will take place ahead of a ‘beat sweep’ officers are running in the area, to focus on issues and priorities which have been raised by members of the local community.
At the event, residents will be encouraged to sign up to Derbyshire Alert to receive targeted information about crime, scams and crime prevention initiatives in their area
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service also will be joining the team at the event which will take place between 10am and 2pm.
PCSO Tammy Careless, of the local Safer Neighbourhood policing teams in the Chesterfield area, said: “We look forward to meeting local residents and community members, and finding out more about any issues or concerns they may have.
“The aim is to then work alongside partner agencies to help target and address those concerns during our beat sweep, so we would encourage people to come along and have their say.”
