Several schools impacted by the flooding across North Derbyshire

Twelve schools have confirmed they won't open on time today so far.

St. Mary's Catholic High School's confirmed it won't be open today.

The flooding's had an impact on their electricity supply.

Meanwhile, Killamarsh Junior School say they haven't got any heating due to the adverse weather, whilst Parkside School say they'll be opening at the slightly later time of 11am to allow staff to travel in safely.

In Hasland, North East Derbyshire Support Centre will be open from 10am.

Elsewhere, Barlborough Primary School will be closed until 10am due to a boiler issue, whilst Brampton Primary School will be closed all day due to flooding and damage to the school's building.

Brookfield Community School say they're closed until 10am. Any students who arrive early there can wait in the hall of the school.

In Brimington, Henry Bradley nursery and infant school is due to open at 10am.

Also, South Darley Primary School won't open at all today because of rising floodwaters at Darley Bridge.

Barrow Hill Primary Academy won't open at all as they aren't able to provide meals to their pupils.

Rowsley Church of England Primary School won't open due to the impact of floodwater in the surrounding areas there.
