Steph Shirt's managed to raise fourteen thousand pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support in the process.
A Stoney Middleton resident's managed to raise fourteen thousand pounds for Macmillan Cancer support-all by shaving off her hair.
Steph Shirt decided to 'brave the shave' in memory of her late mother-who passed away from the disease last September.
She told Peak FM-the support she's received has been overwhelming; "My hair was very, very long and it was everything to me. When I set my target of five thousand pounds, I thought that was a big amount to be raising, but when it went over that amount, I was amazed."
Steph says even though it's not her favourite hairstyle, its all been worth it; "It's a shock every time I look in the mirror. I'm not going to lie, I absolutely hate it, but I don't regret anything. Especially considering the amount we've raised in memory of mum."
