A man from Hayfield who was arrested on suspicion of drug offences has been sentenced to ten month in prison, suspended for 18 months.
Michael Ingham of Swallow House Lane in the town, pleaded guilty to possession of, and possession with intent to supply, a Class B drug.
The 56-year old was stopped by police during an operation event on Albion Road in New Mills on Wednesday, September 10th. A small amount of a suspected class B drug and drugs paraphernalia were found inside his vehicle. A search of his property was later carried out with officers finding a quantity of cannabis.
Mr Ingham appeared at Derby Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to possession and possession with intent to supply.
