Two people have been arrested on suspicion of theft in Chesterfield in connection with an incident where two ornamental trees were stolen from outside a bar in the town centre.
The plants were reported as being stolen from outside Einstein’s bar, on Holywell Street, at around 4.45pm on Monday, May 20.
Enquiries were carried out and as a result a 41 year old man and a 35 year old woman, both from Chesterfield, have been arrested in connection to the incident.
Both the man and the woman have been questioned and released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Officers are also investigating three other reported thefts of plants in the Brockwell area which were reported on Sunday, May 19 and Monday, May 20. They do not yet know if they are connected.
