Police say they've arrested a driver after a head on collision in Ripley on Tuesday evening.
Derbyshire's roads policing unit say a van lost control on a bend and hit an oncoming car.
The crash left both motorists with injuries which required hospital treatment.
Officers say the van driver blew an alcohol level of 49 micro grams at roadside- with the limit being 35.
