Vaping now permitted at Chesterfield Royal Hospital

The use of E-Cigarettes will be allowed at certain points on site there.

People visiting Chesterfield Royal Hospital can now use their E-cigarettes at certain locations on site.

Vaping's permitted outside the hospital building, away from courtyards, entrances and windows.

Clinical Educator for Brief Interventions there-Sally Chadwick-is confident the new rule will help more people quit smoking; "We're just acting on the best evidence available."

"Public Health England have published information saying that E-Cigarettes are 95% safer than smoking, so if there's anything we can do to help people quit altogether, then we need to support that."
