Woman arrested after police officers assaulted in North Derbyshire

Officers are appealing for information following an alleged assault in Buxton.

The incident occurred in Buxton Market Place at 10.45am on Thursday, June 27.

The victim, a 33-year-old woman from the town, was allegedly assaulted causing cuts and bruises.

Officers attended the scene and it is alleged that the same woman then assaulted two officers who received similar injuries.

The woman, a 43-year-old from Buxton, was arrested and released under investigation.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information that can help the enquiries into the incident.
