An A-Team love for the Olympics

80s TV star Mr T has shattered his tough-guy image by revealing his new love - curling.

The A-Team star has been busy tweeting to hail the "finesse" of a sport that only makes headlines every four years at the Winter Olympics.

The American, who played eccentric hardman BA Baracus in the cult TV series, explained how he loves getting to grips with the complexities and subtle delights of the ice-bound event in PyeongChang

He tweeted: "I am really Pumped watching the Winter Olympics.

""I am watching events I never thought I would watch before, like curling. You heard me, curling Fool!

"Curling is kind of different, but it's exciting. It's not as easy as it looks. It takes some skills that's for sure. I like it!"

Referencing his A-team catchphrase of "I pity the fool", Mr T closed his tweets with #curlingiscoolfool.

The 65-year-old, whose real name is Lawrence Tureaud, later added: "Canada defeated Norway in the semi-finals, and Won the Gold medal in the finals vs Switzerland in mixed doubles curling.

"I really like curling and I'm learning a lot. #Hurryhard #curlingiscoolfool

"Like I said before, Curling is not as easy as it looks. I must be honest with you. That little broom reminds me of my Swiffer Sweeper! I'm just saying.

"Anyways, I see curling as a finesse sport, more straight and controlled strength. Not brute strength, like when I was a bouncer, oh no!

'I like curling, it's less wear and tear on the body. I wrestled, boxed, and studied martial arts. I have nothing else to prove. Therefore I choose curling."

Curling has been one of the hits of the Pyeongchang Olympics.

And Britain's teams were in tense action today.

The men opened their campaign with a 6-5 triumph over Switzerland after the match was tied at 5-5 in the 10th end.

Then they recovered from 4-1 down against reigning champions Canada to trail 5-4, before losing 6-4 on the final end.

GB's women beat Olympic Athletes from Russia 10-3.
