Bruce Forsyth may ‘never perform again’

His longtime pal Jimmy Tarbuck has sparked fears the TV veteran may never perform again by revealing the Strictly Come Dancing host is still “frail”.

The beloved entertainer, 89, has stepped out of the spotlight since being struck down by illness.

Bruce underwent surgery in 2015 after suffering two life-threatening aneurysms, and he spent five days in intensive care in March after contracting a chest infection.

Fellow TV star Jimmy, 77, has now given an update on the former Strictly host’s health and admitted his condition is still serious.

Jimmy revealed he saw Bruce last week and he is in good spirits despite his health troubles

He told The Mirror: “He’s okay but he’s a bit frail. He’s had an aneurysm.

“It’s very serious. I saw him a week ago and he is on good form.”

Bruce has not been seen out in public in 19 months since suffering a fall at his Surrey home.

Tests later revealed he needed surgery for two aneurysms, swelling of the blood vessels which could have proved fatal if left untreated.

National treasure Bruce suffered another setback this year when he rushed to St Peter’s Hospital, in Surrey after coming down with a serious chest infection.

He spent five days in intensive care — and was flanked by medics as he returned to his Surrey mansion days later.

Bruce was noticeably absent from a memorial service for his late pal Ronnie Corbett at Westminster Abbey in June as he was too ill to attend.

Bruce’s wife Wilnelia, 59, attended in his place.
