Could They Be Back For Good?

Take That are plotting the ultimate 30th anniversary present — by getting the whole band back together.

GARY BARLOW, MARK OWEN and HOWARD DONALD revealed their grand plans in the second episode of my Bizarre Life podcast, which you can listen to right now.

They aim to entice former band members JASON ORANGE and ROBBIE WILLIAMS back into the fold in 2020 to mark three decades since the group was formed.

It means the one thing fans have dreamt of for years — Take That as a five-piece once again — is finally on the cards.

Gary told Dan Wootton's from The Sun's Bizarre Column: “I don’t think anything we do with Rob is going to relate to like a big 25-year project.

“In fact, I’ll tell you this for the first time, we’re looking at 30 years.

“We’re planning something to do for the 30-year all together. We’re looking that far ahead, something big, maybe a new record, maybe a greatest hits with a big tour.”

And the lobbying for Jason, who quit the group in 2014, to return too, starts now.

Howard added: “A five-piece would be incredible. Whether that ever happens or not, that’s a different story. My gut’s telling me no. I’d love it to happen.

“That’s the nice thing, that we can all hope it will happen but, you know, no pressure on anybody to do anything.”

Take That formed in 1990 but haven’t been together as a five-piece since 2011, when Robbie returned for the Progress tour.

While the lads want to carry on for as long as they can, Gary won’t be following in the footsteps of the great PRINCE PHILIP, who only retired last week aged 95… unless Robbie and Jason return.

He said: “It’s unbelievable that the Duke of Edinburgh has kept going this long. I certainly don’t want to be doing this at 95!”

Mark asked: “If we can get J and Rob to come back will you come and join us on stage?”

And Gary responded: “I’ll come back then at 95.”

The current Take That trio are wowing arenas across the UK on their Wonderland tour.

Gary also has some unfinished solo business to complete.

He said: “I do the solo thing when we have time off.

“The lads have younger family than me. When they have time off I fill it in with a few gigs.

“I love to do it but stepping on stage as Take That is the best thing ever.”
