Taylor Swift returns with cheery new single 'Me'.

The snake has evolved into a beautiful butterfly.

Taylor Swift has finally revealed her new single after weeks of social media teases.

'Me' was dropped on Friday alongside the music video which features a cameo from song collaborator Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco.

Fans praised the new single on social media as well as swoon over the video's other big cameo from Taylor's cats Olivia Benson and Meredith Grey.

It's the first single we've heard from Taylor since 'Reputation', the 2017 album had a much darker tone with the symbol being the snake. In the first scene of the 'Me' music video we see the snake evolve into a colourful butterfly which reflects the reported new brighter identity of her upcoming seventh studio album.
